Failed Payment & Dunning Policy

Last updated: 2026

Status: legal review pending. Automated dunning will be enabled when our payment provider (Stripe or Paddle) goes live.

Retry schedule

If a scheduled payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, bank decline), our payment processor will automatically retry the charge over a window of up to 14 days. You will receive email notifications for each failed attempt with a link to update your payment method.

Service during dunning

During the retry window your account remains active so you can update your card and continue sending. We may pause new outbound campaign sends if payment is not resolved within 7 days of the original failure.

Suspension

If payment is still not collected after the retry window closes, your account is suspended. Sending stops, but your data (contacts, feedback, reports) is preserved while suspended.

Reactivation

Update your payment method and settle the outstanding balance to reactivate. We do not charge a separate reactivation fee.

Account closure

If the account remains suspended for 30 days, we may close it in line with our Cancellation Policy. Data is then retained or deleted per our retention rules.

Disputes and chargebacks

Please contact support@trustnudge.io before filing a chargeback. We will work to resolve billing issues directly. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account termination.
